La speranza per il 2018
È da poco iniziato il mio mandato di presidente della Federazione Internazionale, un grandissimo onore e una immensa responsabilità. Ma sono certo che, ispirato dall’operato di queste donne e questi uomini eccezionali, avrò la forza giusta per portare avanti il mio impegno umanitario.

Perché alla base di tutto ci sono i nostri Principi, la visione di Henry Dunant e il nostro motto “Tutti fratelli” che il Movimento Internazionale di Croce Rossa e Mezzaluna Rossa trasforma in gesti concreti. E lo fa 365 giorni all’anno.

My best wishes for this season holiday and for a wonderful 2018 to millions of Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers coming from all over the world. Special people who, even now, are in action to bring support and help to the most vulnerable. My mandate as president of the International Federation has just begun: a great honor and immense responsibility. But I am sure that, inspired by the work of these women and these exceptional men, I will have the right strength to carry out my humanitarian commitment. Because at the basis of everything, there are our Principles, the vision of Henry Dunant and our motto “Tutti fratelli” that the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent transforms into concrete actions. And it does 365 days a year.
